Note
A regular plural, formed with -s and taking plural agreement: the concepts are simple, not the concepts is simple. It carries every noun use of concept, from the abstract general idea to the programmer's sense, a description of the operations a type supports. The same spelling also serves the verb concept, "to dream up," as its present-tense form after he, she or it.
