cookied
- 1Simple past and past participle of cookie.
The ad network cookied thousands of users before the new privacy rules took effect.
Every browser that reached the checkout page was cookied for tracking.
Note
A regular past form built on the Internet cookie, not the baked one. The verb means to send a cookie to a user or machine, and it simply adds -d to the -ie ending. Because the verb is transitive, the participle sits easily in the passive (every visitor was cookied), naming the person or browser that received it. The same spelling also serves as the adjective for carrying cookies.
- 2Carrying or accompanied by HTTP cookies, as said of a request, a transferred file, or a user that has them attached.
The proxy treats a cookied request differently, routing it to the session that already exists.
Cookied users bypassed the login screen because the server already knew their session.

Note
A computing term for whatever travels with cookies attached: an HTTP request, a transferred file, or the user behind them. It works as a yes-or-no label rather than a scale, so nothing is "more cookied" than something else. The useful contrast is with a request that carries none. Unlike the past participle, which reports that a cookie was sent, the adjective describes the state of carrying one.
