issued
- 1Simple past and past participle of issue.
The government issued new travel guidelines last month.
Passports issued before 2010 are no longer accepted at the border.
Note
One regular -ed form does double duty, as simple past (smoke issued from the vent) and as participle. The older intransitive senses take a preposition rather than an object: water issued from the rock, troops issued forth, the talks issued in a treaty, a door issued onto the yard. These form perfects with have but never a passive. Only the official handing-out sense yields passives like passports issued before 2010.
