juicing
- 1The process of pressing or extracting the liquid from fruit, vegetables, or other produce.

- 2Present participle of juice.
He is juicing fresh limes for the evening cocktails.
The kitchen staff are juicing crates of grapefruit before the lunch rush.
Note
The -ing form carries every sense of the verb, not only the kitchen one. With an object it extracts juice or gives something a jolt, as in juicing limes. Without an object, in slang, someone who is juicing is taking performance-enhancing drugs, so "he's been juicing" rarely means fruit. A further slang use, transitive and sexual, makes the bare form risky in casual talk. As a gerund it overlaps with the noun for the extraction process, but only the noun takes a plural, juicings.
