publications
- 1Plural of publication.
The department lists its recent publications on the university website.
Many scientific publications now require authors to share their raw data.
Note
The plural leans toward the countable side of publication: the issued works themselves, or the collected output of an author or institution, as in a researcher's publications. When publication means the act of publishing, ordinary English keeps it singular, so you write the publication of the results rather than the publications of them. A plural therefore almost always points to finished works, not to the process.
