sexier
- 1Comparative of sexy.
The new car's curves are sexier than last year's boxy model.
Critics agreed the rebrand made the whole product line feel sexier and more modern.
Note
A regular comparative, built the way two-syllable adjectives ending in -y usually build theirs: the -y becomes -i- before -er, as in happier or easier, though more sexy is also correct. It compares the figurative sense as readily as the physical one. Sir Michael Holden in 2022 calls some sectors much sexier politically than railways, meaning more likely to excite interest. The mathematical sense, used of 'sexy primes', takes no comparative at all.
