discussed
Saydi-SKUSTUS · UK/dɪˈskʌst/AUS/dɪˈskɐst/
- 1Simple past and past participle of discuss.
The committee discussed several proposals before reaching a decision.
The matter was discussed at length by the board.
Note
One regular -ed form does double duty: simple past (the board discussed it) and past participle (it had been discussed, it was discussed at length). Because the verb is transitive, the topic follows directly: discussed the plan, not discussed about the plan. In older texts the same form can mean disclosed, shattered or, of a tumor, dispersed. Those senses are now obsolete.
