formulas
- 1Plural of formula.

Marketing teams test several formulas before settling on a slogan.
Note
The regular English plural serves every countable use of the singular: equations in mathematics, structural expressions in chemistry, plans for getting a result, prescribed mixtures, set phrases and statements of doctrine. It coexists with the Latinate formulae, which persists mainly in mathematical and scientific prose. In general writing formulas is the safe choice, and in a lab report either form is correct.
