logged

- 1Simple past and past participle of log.
The system logged each login attempt automatically.
Workers logged the forest along the ridge before the road was built.
Note
One spelling does double duty, as with any regular verb: the final g doubles before -ed, and only the sentence tells past from participle. Because most uses of log take an object, the participle turns passive easily (the ridge was logged, every attempt was logged). The intransitive timber sense instead yields active perfects like they had logged all winter. The navigational uses keep a measured object: a distance or speed logged.
