ri-NOOD/ɹɪˈnud/UKri-NYOOD/ɹɪˈnjuːd/AUSruh-NYOOD/ɹəˈnjuːd/

Note
One spelling does two jobs, as with any regular verb: past in they renewed the lease, participle in the lease has been renewed. Nearly every living meaning of renew takes an object, so the participle sits easily in the passive. The intransitive use, as in the woods renewed for 'came back to life', is archaic. Renewed meaning simply 'repeated' is rare.
